A New Home for EQAVET: Discover MFHEA’s New Website

Quality assurance in education is not something that happens once and is then ticked off a list. For education providers, it is an ongoing process of looking at what they do, asking what could be better and making sure that the education and training they provide continues to meet the needs of learners, employers and society.

For those working in Vocational Education and Training (VET), this is part of everyday practice. It is also at the heart of EQAVET, the European Quality Assurance Reference Framework for Vocational Education and Training, which supports countries and VET providers in developing and improving the quality of VET.

At the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA), we are pleased to take the next step in supporting this work with the launch of a new website focused on EQAVET and quality assurance in VET.

Developed with the funding support of the European Union, the website provides information, resources and learning opportunities for the VET community.

Supporting quality assurance in VET

The website provides information about EQAVET and the EQAVET Network, as well as VET in Malta and quality assurance. The EQAVET-MFHEA website also serves as the home for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in VET Quality Assurance.

Alongside these sections, the website provides access to projects, publications and resources, as well as information about upcoming activities and events.

An opportunity to develop your knowledge

Quality assurance works best when the people involved have the knowledge, confidence and tools to apply it in their own work. This course has been developed with that in mind.

It is aimed at professionals working in VET institutions who would like to strengthen their understanding of quality assurance and explore how it can be applied in practice.

The course consists of seven self-paced modules, allowing participants to fit their learning around their existing work and other commitments. There is no need to rush through the material or complete everything at once.

The modules cover a range of topics, including strategy, innovation, internationalisation, flexible learning pathways and European quality standards.

Each module includes learning units, activities and recommended reading. The self-paced format allows participants to return to the course whenever they need to and progress at a pace that works for them.

Participation in the course is free of charge, providing VET professionals with an accessible opportunity to invest in their continuing professional development.

Participants can also receive a Certificate of Participation after completing each module.

Ongoing activities

The website will also provide opportunities for the VET community to keep up with what is happening in EQAVET.

Information about webinars, workshops, training opportunities and events will be available, alongside projects, publications and other relevant resources.

Take the next step

The launch of the new EQAVET website marks an important step for MFHEA in supporting quality assurance in VET. It gives VET professionals access to relevant information, resources and opportunities for learning and professional development.

If developing your knowledge of quality assurance is something you have been considering, the Continuing Professional Development Course in Vocational Education & Training Quality Assurance provides an opportunity to learn at your own pace and explore how quality assurance can be applied in practice.

We would love to hear from you

As with any new website, we want to make sure it continues to meet the needs of the people using it.

If you have any feedback, comments or suggestions about the new EQAVET website, please feel free to get in touch with us.

Your feedback will help us make the website more useful, accessible and relevant to the VET community.

Quality assurance is a continuous process, and so is learning. We hope that the new EQAVET website will support the VET community to learn, share, explore and continue improving together.
