Remuneration and Benefits:
The annual salary attached to this appointment for the year 2024 shall be €22,248 with annual increments of €375 and increases of €820 up to a maximum of €26,748 inclusive of the cost of living. Statutory mid-year and end-of-year bonuses are paid over and above this amount.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Primary Responsibilities
1.1 Supports Malta Further and Higher Education Authority to meet the stipulations of CHAPTER 607 FURTHER AND HIGHER EDUCATION ACT.
1.2 The Executive will be responsible for the development of the assigned areas of responsibility as delegated by the Authority and the CEO from time to time.
1.3 The Executive will form part of the Authority and will generally:
a) Perform general office duties, including checking and replying to the generic mail, the issuing of invoices, maintaining records and filing systems;
b) Prepare and process purchase orders and documents in accordance with Public Procurement Regulations;
c) Assist in the procurement of supplies for the relevant unit;
d) Organise travel arrangements;
e) Prepare reports and summarises data;
f) Assist in the organisation of unit events such as meetings, workshops and seminars;
g) Perform any other function and duties as may be assigned by the CEO and Management.
2. Ancillary
- Participates in and contributes to initiatives related to the Authority.
- Attends and participates in events both locally and abroad as may be directed by the Authority.
- Undertakes any other assignments that may be related or conducive to the attainment of any of the above.
- Supports Management efficiently and effectively.
- Ensures that all assigned tasks are retained in high confidence.
- Assists in other functions as may be required.
3. Internal Relations
- Maintains a professional relationship with all MFHEA employees
- Works in close consultation with and provides advice to the Management and any other MFHEA employees.
- Provides the necessary assistance and contributes to the Authority’s overall efficiency and effectiveness.
4. External Relations
Represents and works in the best interest of the organisation.
Tasks and duties of the job holder are not limited to the above listed and employee may be required to assist other departments.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required
– A minimum MQF Level 4 education.

Remuneration and Benefits
The annual salary attached to this appointment for the year 2024 shall be €25,147 with annual increments of €447 and increases of €888 up to a maximum of €30,064 inclusive of the cost of living. Statutory mid-year and end-of-year bonuses are paid over and above this amount.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
1.1 As Authority officers focused on VNFIL processes (though not exclusively), they will support the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority in the following areas as designated by the CEO from time to time:
- Validation processes related to formal and informal learning,
- Processes related to recognition of prior learning,
- Funding Framework,
- Quality Assurance Framework,
- Student Affairs,
- International Affairs,
- Statistical Framework and Org. Knowledge Management.
1.2 Authority Officers will be responsible for the development of their assigned areas of responsibility as delegated by the Authority and the CEO from time to time.
1.3 All Authority Officers will form part of the Authority and will generally:
- Develop intellectual leadership in the designated area of responsibility assigned by the CEO,
- Develop the relevant capabilities within the Authority to address the designated area,
- Inform and advise the Authority on the designated area,
- Draft reports on the area and will review policies from the perspective of the designated area,
- Support the CEO to deliver its objectives (as specified in Clauses 65 and 66 of the Education Act Cap 327),
- Collaborate with all stakeholders on issues in the related area of responsibility,
- Source, compile and analyse the information required to support the above functions,
- Any other function that may be assigned by the CEO and Management.
