ENQA Visit

Meeting on 28th June 2022

On Thursday 28th June 2022 ENQA elected President Douglas Blackstock, Reviews Manager Goran Dakovic and Project Officer Alexis Fábregas, visited the Malta Further and Higher Education Authority. Mr Josef Borg and Mr Julian Tabone from the Ministry for Education, Sport, Youth, Research and Innovation were also present during this meeting.

During the meeting, the Authority presented Malta’s work towards ENQA membership. President Douglas Blackstock addressed the MFHEA members of staff and thanked them for their work for the students of Malta. He acknowledged the range of broad activities being carried out by the Authority and the collaboration of trust with the Ministry.

MFHEA CEO Dr Rose Anne Cuschieri highlighted the contribution of the SEQA-ESG project in moving toward compliance with the ESG and noted that becoming ENQA members will add value to the Authority. Everyone at the Authority has an important role to play in this process and it is crucial for the members of staff to work as a team.

As the designated stakeholder organisation of quality assurance agencies in the EHEA, ENQA represents their interests internationally, supports them nationally and provides them with comprehensive services and networking opportunities. Under ENQA’s umbrella, the community of agencies drive innovation in quality assurance and refines quality assurance processes.
