ENQA General Assembly 2022

ENQA General Assembly 2022

26-28 October 2022, Stockholm, Sweden

MFHEA CEO Dr Rose Anne Cuschieri participated in the ENQA General Assembly which was held in Stockholm, Sweden 26th – 28th October 2022. The meeting explored global cooperation in quality assurance as well as topics such as academic integrity and quality assurance of e-learning.

ENQA was first established in 2000 as the European Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education to promote European cooperation in the field of quality assurance in higher education. In 2004, it became the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education with the aim to contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the quality of European higher education, and to act as a major driving force for the development of quality assurance across all the Bologna Process signatory countries.

ENQA is a membership association which serves and represents its members at the European level and internationally. ENQA members are quality assurance organisations from the European Higher Education Area that operate in the field of higher education.

The General Assembly is the main policy and decision-making body of ENQA. The General Assembly is composed of the Member organisations of the Association and has ENQA Affiliates, European ministerial representatives, and ENQA partner organisations as observers. The General Assembly meets twice a year to discuss and approve matters of strategic importance to the Association, such as the strategic plan, annual work plans and budgets. The General Assembly also elects the Board, President and Vice-Presidents and endorses the decisions taken by the ENQA Board.
