Call for Expression of Interest: Webinar on Experiential Teaching & Learning
The Malta Further and Higher Education Authority is launching an open Call for Expression of Interest for two experts with experience in experiential teaching and learning to develop and present a Webinar on Experiential Teaching and Learning as part of the Erasmus + Programme project ‘Support to the European Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training (EQAVET) National Reference Points (NRPs).’
Purpose of the Call
The National Strategic Plan has redefined the Vision and goals for Further and Higher Education 2030: Towards a dynamic resilient knowledge ecosystem by 2030, based on an innovative, inclusive quality-driven further and higher education sector, inspiring individuals, throughout their educational and life experience, to develop relevant skills that allow them to contribute as community members and active citizens towards a digital and green global economy.
The main aim of the Webinar on Experiential Teaching and Learning is to guide VET institutions, their staff, trainers and students as to how experiential teaching and learning can support and enhance student engagement with course material, provide diverse opportunities for collaboration and develop the self-confidence and soft skills of teachers and students alike.
Task
The experts will be requested to:
Develop and present a webinar lasting approximately 3 hours on experiential teaching and learning and open education, which will include an introduction to David Kolb’s experiential learning cycle and its four main stages, examples linking theory with practice in both programme design and course delivery, as well as suggestions for providers to incorporate experiential teaching and learning into their offerings. The webinar will incorporate discussion sessions where experts and participants can exchange views on the opportunities and challenges presented by online experiential teaching and learning which contribute towards reaching the FHE2030 Vision and Domains 4, 5, and 8 of the Online Learning Guidelines by MFHEA.
The webinar on experiential teaching and learning shall be delivered during April 2023. The remuneration for this project is EUR 1400/per expert.
