Call for Expression of Interest: Selection of experts
The Malta Further and Higher Education Authority is launching an open Call for Expression of Interest for two experts with experience in Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training to develop Definitions, Principles and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Work-Based Learning as part of the Erasmus+ Programme project ‘Support to the European Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training (EQAVET) National Reference Points (NRPs)’.
Purpose of the Call
The MFHEA aims to “foster the development and achievement of excellence in further and higher education in Malta through research, effective licensing, accreditation, quality assurance, and recognition of qualifications established under the Malta Qualifications Framework.” – (Source: Chapter 327, Education Act)
The main objective of the Guidelines for Quality Assurance of Work-Based Learning is to provide clear guidelines to ensure that courses that include a work-based learning component, being extensive or limited, genuinely prepare prospective learners well for their professional futures in the long term.
Tasks:
The experts will be requested to:
- develop Definitions, Principles and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Work-Based Learning
and focus on:
- quality assurance within work-based learning through the use of internal and external tools and approaches
- mechanisms and standards for ensuring the quality of work-based learning
- quality-assured cooperation and collaboration involving education and training providers and companies.
The Guidelines for QA in Work-Based Learning shall be completed by 15th March 2023. The remuneration for this project is EUR 2,977/per expert.
