
Call for Expression of Interest: Selection of experts
The Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA) is launching an open Call for Expression of Interest for two experts with experience in Quality Assurance in Further Education and Vocational Education and Training to revise the Guidelines for External Quality Assurance of Further Education Institutions/VET Institutions as part of The National VET Team-Annual activity planning co-funded by Erasmus + Programme project.
Purpose of the Call
The MFHEA aims “to foster the development and achievement of excellence in further and higher education in Malta through research, effective licensing, accreditation, quality assurance, and recognition of qualifications established under the Malta Qualifications Framework.”– (Source: Chapter 327, Education Act)
The revised Guidelines for External Quality Assurance of Further Education Institutions/VET Institutions will provide guidance on External Quality Assurance audit procedures and support institutions in quality enhancement and continuous development of their operations.
Tasks
The experts will be requested to:
- Determine and analyse contextual factors impacting the Guidelines for EQA of FEIs
- Expand on international benchmarking of comparable countries in the implementation of similar audit/accreditation models, including validation of best practice
- Organise a consultation meeting/VET breakfast
- Produce a revised version of the Guidelines for EQA of FEIs
- Take part in the final webinar
The revised Guidelines for External Quality Assurance of Further Education Institutions shall be completed by the end of September 2024. The webinar shall be held in December 2024. The remuneration for this project is EUR 4.800 per/expert
