Call for Expression of Interest: Selection of EQA Peer Reviewers

Call for Expression of Interest: Selection of EQA Peer Reviewers

The Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA) is launching an open Call for Expression of Interest for experts with experience in Quality Assurance in Further and Higher Education.

Tasks:

The expert will be part of a peer review panel appointed to evaluate the IQA processes. The peer reviewer is part of an  External Quality Assurance (EQA) review panel will be requested to evaluate the Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) processes of the provider (Further or Higher Education Institution), including an examination of the systems and procedures and the documentation that supports them.

The main tasks of the peer reviewer include but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to a desk-based analysis of the documentation provided by the institution under review;
  • Studying the relevant documentation with respect to the local context (applicable for international experts);
  • Attending meetings prior to the QA audit visit (induction meeting, interim panel meeting, and a scoping on-site an onsite or online visit);
  • Participating in an onsite/ or online QA audit visit (the duration is one up to three days);
  • Writing of the QA audit Report.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Preferably have significant experience in teaching at the level of provision of the provider to undertake the audit;
  • Have excellent English writing skills and IT skills;
  • Have at least a full MQF/EQF Level 7 degree;
  • Have collaborative skills and ability to work in a group;
  • Demonstrate availability and can commit to the timeline;
  • Have no conflict of interest in undertaking the audit of a specific provider.

Interested applicants are to submit an email with a CV, scanned copies of certificates of qualification and motivation letter to [email protected] with subject: “Call for Expression of Interest: EQA Peer Reviewers” by no later than Monday, 30th September 2024.

The chosen applicants might be requested to follow an induction program by MFHEA.
