Call for Expression of Interest: Expert Consultant for Thematic Analysis Report
The Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA) is launching an open Call for Expression of Interest for an expert with experience in quality assurance in higher education and Vocational Education and Training and strong analytical skills. The selected expert will perform a comprehensive thematic analysis of External Quality Assurance (EQA) audit reports to evaluate the effectiveness of quality assurance mechanisms across various higher education institutions, including VET as part of The National VET Team-Annual activity planning co-funded by Erasmus + Programme project.
Purpose of the Call
The MFHEA aims “to foster the development and achievement of excellence in further and higher education in Malta through research, effective licensing, accreditation, quality assurance, and recognition of qualifications established under the Malta Qualifications Framework.”– (Source: Chapter 327, Education Act)
The thematic analysis report will provide significant insights into the effectiveness of quality mechanisms within the HE and VET sectors. It will highlight key strengths and pinpoint areas where enhancements can be made, guiding improvements in quality assurance practices.
Tasks
The experts will be requested to:
- Summarise findings from EQA reports.
- Identify and highlight key themes, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Analyse EQA processes and compliance with established standards.
- Assess the impacts on teaching, learning, and institutional governance.
- Take part in the final webinar
The thematic analysis report shall be completed by the end of October 2024. The webinar shall be held in December 2024. The remuneration for this project is EUR 3.600 (incl. VAT).
