Call for Expression of Interest: Evaluators
The Malta Further and Higher Education Authority is launching an open Call for Expression of Interest for Evaluators.
Primary responsibility
- to review the programmes and fill in a report template which will be provided by MFHEA
Qualifications and Experience:
- A minimum of a full qualification at the Masters Level at MQF Level 7
- Posses relevant years of experience
Evaluators will have four weeks to submit the first evaluation report and the provider will then have another four weeks to submit the revised version of the programme and this process can go on for a maximum of three cycles until the programme is accredited or otherwise.
Programme 1
Title: Bachelor of Science in Linguistic Mediation
MQF Level: 6
Languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic and Portuguese
Requirements: Masters at MQF Level 7 in Linguistics
Description: The objectives of the three-year degree course in Sciences of Linguistic Mediation activated in collaboration with the Italian university SSML San Domenico are to provide students with a solid cultural education of a higher level, both basic and linguistic; adequate preparation in the socio-economic, legal and geopolitical fields; communication tools and information management and adequate knowledge of issues in work areas such as public institutions, manufacturing, cultural, tourism and environmental businesses. The proposed training course is in at least two foreign languages, in addition to Italian, to be chosen from among the activated languages. Format language (A) (B) (C). Particular attention is also paid to the cultures of the countries in which the languages being studied are spoken. Students are also asked to develop specific linguistic-technical skills, both oral and written, typical of the professionalism of the linguistic mediation area.
Programme 2
Title: Bachelor’s Degree in International Business Administration and Entrepreneurship
MQF Level: 6
Languages: Spanish and Italian
Requirements: Masters at MQF Level 7 in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship
Description: By attending this program, the students will gain the following skills. knowledge and competences:
Entrepreneurial and Business Skills
- The students develop an entrepreneurial mindset and a commercial way of thinking on how to apply new ideas, methods, and perspectives to businesses and projects with an international vision;
- The program helps students gain confidence and certainty in their business idea and apply it in the real world with the structures and systems learned at the b-school.
- The students gain the ability to see a vision through completion, having the skills to manage a project from conception to launch, as they develop their project management skills;
- The students learn to apply logical and rational methods in complex and variegated business related situations as they attain an analytical and problem-solving skills;
- The students develop the skills on how to tackle a decision with a clear head and guide the organization;
- The students can act on their own developing international business processes in an economically viable and socially responsible way.
- The students can recognize entrepreneurial opportunities for new business ventures, evaluate potential for business success, and consider implementation issues including financial, legal, operational and administrative procedures involved in starting new business ventures;
Leadership and Management Skills:
- Students will develop a cross cultural understanding especially regarding racial, ethnic, and gender differences in values, perceptions and approaches to work;
- Students will learn about their strengths and limitations and will be able to identify which methods of working are characteristic to them;
- Students will gain the capacity to respect deadlines and work under pressure as they will learn how to manage their time;
- Students will gain a business sense through their knowledge of advanced quality processes and general principles of performance management;
- Students will gain organizational skills and forward planning skills as they will learn how to prepare the necessary international entrepreneurial strategies.
- Recognize and appropriately respond to ethical, legal and strategic concerns relating to human resource and organizational management
