Call for Expression of Interest – Selection of Experts to Update the Online Teaching and Learning Regulations

The Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA) announces an open Call for Expression of Interest to recruit two experts experienced in Quality Assurance in Online Teaching and Learning. This initiative aims to update the Online Teaching and Learning Regulations under the National VET Team-Annual Activity Planning co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme.

Purpose of the Call: MFHEA’s mission is to promote excellence in further and higher education in Malta through research, effective licensing, accreditation, quality assurance, and recognition of qualifications, as established under the Malta Qualifications Framework (Source: Chapter 327, Education Act). The guidelines issued in 2021 will be revised to incorporate changes and new practices introduced in the e-learning sector following the pandemic. Feedback from VET providers who have implemented these guidelines since 2021 will also be considered.

Tasks:

  1. Analyse feedback from participants of a recent one-day workshop, where VET providers shared insights on standards and developments in the e-learning sector post-pandemic.
  2. Prepare and participate in the final launch event to present the updated Online Teaching and Learning Regulations, including findings from the public consultation.
  3. Participate in the Final Webinar scheduled for December 2025 as part of the project.

Timeline: The updated guidelines are expected to be completed by 30th September 2025.

Remuneration: For each expert the remuneration is set at €60 per hour, with a maximum of 110 hours per expert.

Application: Interested applicants should submit an email including a CV, scanned copies of qualification certificates, and a motivation letter to [email protected] with the subject “Call for Expression of Interest: Selection of experts to update the Online Teaching and Learning Regulations” no later than 18th April 2025.

Data Protection: All information provided by applicants is subject to EU legislation on personal data protection and confidentiality.
