Call for Expression of Interest: Selection of experts

The Malta Further and Higher Education Authority (MFHEA) is launching an open Call for Expression of Interest for two experts with experience in Quality Assurance to design new programme accreditation standards for VET Further Education Institutions and Centres as part of The National VET Team-Annual activity planning co-funded by Erasmus + Programme project.

Purpose of the Call

The MFHEA aims “to foster the development and achievement of excellence in further and higher education in Malta through research, effective licensing, accreditation, quality assurance, and recognition of qualifications established under the Malta Qualifications Framework.”– (Source: Chapter 327, Education Act)

The revised programme accreditation standards will provide guidance to VET providers in Further Education. Candidates should have experience in Quality Assurance and Vocational Education and Training / Further Education.

Tasks

The experts will be requested to:

  • Design new programme accreditation standards and procedures for Further Education Institutions and Centres by taking into account provider’s feedback and input from various stakeholder
  • Organise a workshop to discuss the key issues related to programme accreditation standards and exchange of experience in the design of programs
  • Take part in the National VET Team final webinar

The workshop should be organised in Q2/2025 and the new programme accreditation standards shall be completed by the end of November 2025. The final webinar shall be held in December 2025. The renumeration for the project is EUR 4,500 EUR per expert.

Application

Interested applicants are to submit an email with a CV, scanned copies of certificates of qualification and motivation letter to [email protected] with subject [Call for Expression of Interest: Selection of experts to design new programme accreditation standards and procedures for FEI and Centres] no later than 15th March 2025.
